Updata provides a number of hosted services to underpin its managed network deployments. These are managed 24/7 under an agreed service level agreement (SLA).
Often the requirement is to implement a specific suite of hosted services to complement existing service operations, so we have developed each of the following components to be used with the maximum flexibility.
Hosted DNS (Domain Name Servers)
Updata provides a fully resilient appliance based DNS solution. This platform provides centralised DNS records and distributed resolvers for optimised performance and resilience. This enables the customer to manage their own DNS records remotely or have Updata manage the solution for them.
Hosted Mail
Updata provides a fully resilient appliance based mail relay service which ensures stateful failover in the event of a failure. The solution also provides perimeter security and offers full anti-virus and anti-spam. It can also be configured for full integration with mail archiving to ensure that no mail is ever lost.
Server Hosting
Updata can provide a hosted service for your back-up, web and application servers, and supports virtual server environments.
Virtual Servers
Updata can provide virtual servers, integrated within a SAN (Storage Area Network). This enables Updata to backup the whole virtual machine(s) at block-level and replicate it across to the secondary controller. This way the whole machine including Exchange and IIS can be restored in the secondary location in the event of failure.
Datacentre Provision
Updata integrates datacentres and/or collocation space into the network design, which enables customers to have full disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity. Updata can also design and build the datacentre environment itself, in addition to providing ISP services including multiple instances of Tier 1 Internet provision. Core network topology will always be engineered to provide no single point of failure.
Updata can provide all the services listed above to give customers a fully managed DR service, or just provide elements of the service depending on the requirement.
